Ben Rothwell Out Of UFC 110! Aussie Heavyweight Steps In!

By Griff

Heavyweight Ben Rothwell has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 110 fight with Mirko Cro-Cop due to an undisclosed illness.

Instead of Rothwell, Cro-Cop will now face Australian Anthony Perosh.

Perosh is a relative unknown in the MMA world, the only fighters of note that he’s fought he’s lost to; Jeff Monson the former UFC heavyweight title challenger TKO’d him back in 2006 at UFC: Bitter Rivals, while he followed that up by dropping a decision to Christian Wellisch on the undercard of UFC 66: Liddell vs Ortiz 2.

Since those two back to back UFC losses, Perosh has fought almost exclusively for the Cage Fighting Championships, scoring five wins in his last seven fights. His professional record stands at 10-5 with all his wins coming either through submissions or tko’s.
